Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 5, 2026

Lens ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over your data when you use our website (uselens.co) and our content intelligence platform (the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

  • Account Information: name, email address, and password (encrypted) when you create an account.
  • TikTok Data: with your explicit authorization through TikTok's official Login Kit, we access your public video metadata, view counts, likes, comments, shares, and watch-time analytics. We never request access to your direct messages, login credentials, or private content.
  • Usage Data: information about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited and features used.
  • Payment Information: processed securely by our third-party payment processor. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
  • To analyze your TikTok content and generate AI-powered insights, recommendations, and reports for you.
  • To process payments and manage your subscription.
  • To communicate with you about your account, including service updates and support inquiries.
  • To detect, prevent, and address technical issues or fraud.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service Providers: with trusted vendors who help us operate the Service (e.g., cloud hosting, payment processing, AI analysis), under strict confidentiality agreements.
  • Legal Requirements: if required to comply with a valid legal process or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Lens, our users, or the public.
  • Business Transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you.

4. TikTok Data Specifically

Your TikTok data is used solely to power the analytics and content recommendations we provide back to you. It is never sold, shared with advertisers, or used to train public AI models. You can revoke Lens's access to your TikTok account at any time by visiting your TikTok account settings or by deleting your Lens account.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information and TikTok data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

6. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), encrypted password storage (bcrypt), and access controls. No system is 100% secure, but we work hard to protect your information.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Withdraw consent at any time.

To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@uselens.co.

8. Children's Privacy

Lens is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

9. Changes to This Policy
